Extra Fizz: SHARE to Move on From Burgess' House
SHARE, the homeless advocacy group that has spent the past three nights camping outside city council member Tim Burgess' house to protest the city's refusal to give it $50,000 for bus tickets to and from shelters, has announced it plans to move on tonight to Southeast Seattle. The group will target city council member Richard Conlin, who, they say, has been "bizarrely ignorant of the fact that King County Metro has been giving reduced rates on bus tickets to organizations such as SHARE and that the City has been supporting this program!!!," according to a press release.
In the coming nights, SHARE reportedly plans to target city council members Bruce Harrell and Richard McIver, who live a few houses away from each other in the Mount Baker neighborhood.
