David Russo may be a brilliant filmmaker, but he is also the first to admit he's a terrible businessman. He doesn't care about exhibition or marketing or acclaim. He says he'd be happier working as a dental hygienist. It's what he wants to be when he grows up, he says.

However, in today's edition of The Warren Taste Test (click here for the first and second installments), Russo explains his secret to being a successful as director:

"Be really shitty at everything else."

(Oh, also, pay attention to your instincts and know that eventually, "it has to be my film ... I'm the one who has to stand in front of it, and say I'm proud of it.")

Thank goodness, The Blue Man Group conned Russo into shooting their upcoming 3-D Imax film about the brain.

Watch Part 3 and let me know if you've acquired a taste yet for my favorite film artist in Seattle, David Russo.
