Contribution of the Day
We were going to include this contribution in our Press Release Roundup, but it was so effective (A++!) that we decided to run with it in its own right.
In the bizarrely divisive race for King County Assessor, Lloyd Hara—a former port commissioner and one of two leading candidates for the position—announced that his opponent Bob Rosenberger has "injected nearly $100,000 of his own money" into his campaign.
The press release continues, "His most recent infusion of $58,000 amounts to more than was spent on King County Assessor campaigns by all candidates combined in the past two elections," about $48,000.
According to the Public Disclosure Commission, Rosenberger, a former appraiser in the assessor's office, has put $89,500 of his own money into the county assessor's race.
