Trading Places at Hugo House
How hard is it to write outside your genre? Three Seattle writers recently found out.

Tonight at Hugo House, poet Daemond Arrindell, comic book artist David Lasky, and essayist Cienna Madrid "trade" genres, each reading a new piece that they've written (or drawn). Lasky will read a poem and Arrindell an essay. Madrid has the scariest job, if you ask me. She drew a comic, and she doesn't draw (her words, not mine).
Trading Places, Richard Hugo House, 7:30 p.m., $15 ($10 for Hugo House members)
