TV Identity Politics
King County Executive Candidate state Rep. Ross Hunter (D-48, Medina) has a new TV ad out.

One thing that's noteworthy about the ad (and that contrasts to the new Constantine ad we posted earlier today, where Constantine identifies himself as "THE Democrat for King County Executive"): Hunter doesn't identify as a Democrat.
The omission is in sync with the rest of the ad, which focuses on conservative themes—complaining about lax oversight of taxpayers' money and pay raises to government workers. "Enough is enough," Hunter tells the camera.
The Public Disclosure Commission reports that has Hunter spent nearly $60,000 on TV (all of it on cable, his campaign says). The commission also reports that Hunter, who's raised about $250,000 total, has about $50,000 left.
UPDATE: By the way, there's a weird thing in the ad. When the narrator brings up the "lack of oversight of taxpayer dollars," the text on the screen actually says "taxpaper" in stead of "taxpayer." What the heck is taxpaper?
