I'm not touching the 61-comments-and-counting thread on SoulNerd's post (a little too hot).

Today's "Comment of the Day" goes to reader George's two cents on Morning Fizz, where people were adding to the list of last night's biggest winners and losers. George summed up some the most insightful stuff: Blair Butterworth wasn't the big loser I suggested (check out Jan Drago's expenditures here, for example); consultant Cathy Allen was a winner for making bank off Larry Phillips; and Sally Bagshaw—at 50 percent for a non-incumbent—was a giant winner.

I'm not sure I agree with George re: Licata, though. Scoring 53 percent against two legit opponents, particularly the energized Jessie Israel campaign, show that veteran Licata is still formidable.

you are right about Butterworth and his fees. Allen took some pretty amazing fees from Phillips.
I second the move to add Bagshaw to the winners list and am neutral about Licata.
