PubliCola Comment of the Day Goes To...

By Josh Feit August 7, 2009

Erica did a post today pointing out that the KING-5 poll (which had T-Mobile Executive Joe Mallahan and Sierra Club leader Mike McGinn creeping up on Mayor Nickels) may have underestimated Mallahan's surge.

Barnett pointed out that the KING-5 poll oversampled younger voters (who aren't as likely to vote in the primary.) Younger voters trend toward Nickels, while older voters trend toward Mallahan.

However, Mikos gets today's "Comment of the Day" for pointing out something else about the misleading sample:

McGinn also relies more on younger voters.
