According to the results of a SurveyUSA poll leaked to PubliCola (expect KING5 to come out with the numbers later today), Mayor Greg Nickels remains locked down at 26 percent , with challengers Joe Mallahan and Mike McGinn in a dead heat at 22 and 21 percent, respectively. Both McGinn and Mallahan, up 6 and 3 points respecitively, seem to be surging despite negative attacks by Nickels on both candidates.

Meanwhile, Nickels' numbers have remained at the same level they were at a month ago (although, they're slightly up from the last KING-5 poll a week ago).

In another potentially (very) bad sign for Nickels, 11 percent of voters remain undecided. That's nine points less than were undecided two weeks ago, indicating that undecided voters are going for Mallahan and McGinn, not Nickels.
