McGinn in Lead. Mallahan in Second. Nickels in Third
Josh here.
McGinn 27. Mallahan 26. Nickels 25. It is deadly quiet here at the Nickels party. All I got when I confirmed the numbers with Team Nickels campaign manager Viet Shelton was: "Yep."
Meanwhile, in the King County Executive's race Susan Hutchison is at 37 percent and Dow Constantine is at 22 percent, far ahead of the others.
That news bumped my original post:
It's getting a bit more crowded. Maybe it's that it's so far away from...from...
I don't know, but we're out here in the 5000 block of 1st Ave. S.
I asked Team Nickels why we were so far away, and they (spokesman Sandeep Kaushik) said "because UFCW is here." Nickels staff counsel, Regina LaBelle added, "there's only one union restaurant in Seattle. The Athenian."
(Does that mean all the other candidates are not union spots?)
Wait...Seattle Transportation Department head Grace Crunican just walked in. You know. The one who Nickels' opponent Joe Mallahan says he'll fire if he gets elected. I asked her if she had anything to say to Mallahan.
"I don't have to respond to him," she said.
