I was stoked to ride my bike by the Egyptian today and see that this weekend's midnight movie is City of Lost Children (Jeunet and Caro, France 1995).  Jeunet is most famous in this country for Amelie, which I could take or leave. But oh City of Lost Children.

What could be better at midnight than a twisted fairy tale about a mad scientist who kidnaps children to steal their dreams?  Only a French twisted fairy tale about a mad scientist who kidnaps children to steal their dreams.
