Barely a month has passed, and already I have to revisit my "goddam Red states, get with it already" rant about lacking MSL coverage on TV.

Sadly, I found myself Saturday in a meat-eating, football-loving inbred hillbilly cesspool corner of the country looking for the Sounders.  Scouring a dozen sports bar, each with 50 screens, looking for the game.  There was lots of pre-season football, high school basketball, and NASCAR, but no soccer.

I missed what the tweets are calling "best game of the season." I missed Beckham's first ever MLS red card.  I missed our offense growing some brains and shrugging off the jinx. I missed yet another defensive ejection!  I missed Montero's goal.  I missed the Sounders breaking a score-less losing streak!  Pulling it all off without Ljungberg in the belly of the beast, away from home!

I hate you Portland!
