Mayoral candidate Joe Mallahan—currently coming in second, behind Mike McGinn but in front of incumbent mayor Greg Nickels—was just greeted by at least four minutes of applause from his crowd of supporters at Fado in Pioneer Square, followed by a chant of "Joe! Joe! Joe!"

He told the crowd: "I think Greg's slur campaign seemed to hurt him more than it hurt me, huh?" In recent days, Nickels has attacked both Mallahan and McGinn in TV ads, robo-calls, and online videos.

"Greg's way is the old way," Mallahan said.
