Zine Scene
This weekend, the folks at ZAPP (Hugo House's Zine Archive and Publishing Project) are hosting a 24-Hour Zine Challenge. Writers and comic artists will camp out at Hugo House from 10 a.m. on Saturday to 10 a.m. on Sunday, each creating a 24-page zine.
ZAPP is open to the public from 12-5 on Saturday, so you can stop by and observe the writers in frantic zine-making mode and browse ZAPP's 20,000 or so independently published zines, comics, and chapbooks. It's one of the largest collections in the world, so it's definitely worth stopping by Hugo's 2nd floor to check it out.
