Tonight, be sure to catch Cryptacize at the Healthy Times Fun Club. Cryptacize is former Deerhoof guitarist Chris Cohen’s new-ish project on Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label.



It's math-twee where kid drums and boy-girl harmonies are dragged through time and tempo changes. This might seem trying, but check out Cohen’s art rock pedigree again, his touch is deft.

Also, they’re opening for Casiotone for the Painfully Alone , whose new record, “Vs Children,” is heartbreaking in that very good way.
