By FilmNerd July 3, 2009

If you're like me, you find the idea of spending a perfect summer evening inside a movie theater distasteful, even abhorrent.  Well, I've got some good news for you.

The summe-rlong outdoor screening series at Fremont's Almost Free* Outdoor Cinema started a couple of weeks ago.  July 3 will be a zombiefest, culminating in a 10-minute mini-feature on local film Zombies of Mass Destruction, followed by 2004 zombie spoof Shaun of the Dead.

*Word to the wise:  it can be free if you sit outside the fenced-in area.  Note that neither sound quality nor view will be nearly as good as if you pony up the suggested $5 donation for official entry.
