I love the idea going to a reading where I can shop for cherries at the same time. Matthew Amster-Burton, daddy-foodie author of Hungry Monkey: a Food-loving Father's Quest to Raise an Adventurous Eater will give a cooking demonstration on Saturday at 10am at the U District Farmer's Market.

Then, on Saturday night, you can head down to Elliott Bay to see Seattle Noir vs. Portland Noir, the ultimate Northwest shootout. Or just a reading. (7:30 pm, free.)
