Extra Fizz: Sen. Murray Loses F-22 Fight in Senate
We've reported before on Sen. Patty Murray's fight to preserve funding for the F-22. (Boeing, a subcontractor on the plane, is Murray's top contributor between 2005-2009 at $56,500.)
Today, thanks to a veto threat by President Obama , she lost in a 58-40 Senate vote which struck the F-22 funding.
Sen. Maria Cantwell joined Murray in voting Nay on Sen. Carl Levin's (D-MI) amendment to strip the $1.75 billion project out of the air force procurement budget.
