The mayor's race is likely to be close: A sole endorsement requires the vote of two-thirds of the members present. So far, the King County Democrats, the 11th District Democrats, the 37th District Democrats, the 43rd District Democrats, and the 46th District Democrats have made endorsements, with Position 4 candidate David Bloom, Position 8 candidate David Miller, and city attorney challenger Pete Holmes leading the pack with the most Democratic endorsements.

2) The 36th District Dems, meanwhile, will be endorsing tomorrow night. Their chairman, Jason Bennett, also happens to be the consultant for mayoral candidate Joe Mallahan (as well as council candidates Jordan Royer and David Ginsberg).

KC Executive candidate Dow Constantine snagged the sole endorsements of two major labor organizations representing private workers yesterday—the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 21 and the Boeing Machinists union, each with around 35,000 members. Larry Phillips, one of Constantine's three Democratic opponents, has endorsements from several public employees' unions, including the county and city employees' union, the Metro union, and the state teachers' union.
