The Seattle-side rivals in the King County Executive's race—K.C. Council Members Dow Constantine and Larry Phillips—are both holding their campaign kickoff parties this week.
Constantine (who had a sort of alterna-kickoff party at the Crocodile in Belltown several weeks ago for his younger supporters) will hold his official kickoff tonight at 5:30 the First United Methodist Church at 811 5th Ave. downtown. Constantine helped save the historic church from demolition back in 2006.
Phillips' kickoff is this Saturday at the Daybreak Star Cultural Center in Discovery Park. The event, which begins at 1:00, coincides with Phillips' annual salmon bake.
