Why Was Susan Hutchison MIA at Today's Candidate Forum?
The Seattle Times reports
that newbie mayoral candidate Joe Mallahan wasn't at this morning's Alki Foundation candidate forum.
The Alki Foundation—the political wing of the Seattle chamber of commerce—hosted a forum this morning for all the City Council candidates, mayoral candidates, and K.C. Executive candidates at the WAC club in downtown Seattle.
Burdened by their obsession with Mallahan, the Seattle Times only notes as an after thought that high profile Republican King County Executive candidate, Susan Hutchison, was MIA.
And while the Seattle Times tracked down the reason for Mallahan's absence (an unavoidable conflict wrapping up stuff at work) they didn't ask (or at least report) why Hutchison—a frontrunner in the primary—was a no show.
I have a call in to both the Alki Foundation and Hutchison to find out why she wasn't there.
I was a no-show too. It was at 7:30am!
