Under ordinary circumstances I would not post on this since I am working on Dow Constantine's campaign for King County Executive, but Josh is away so I'll make an exception. I'll limit myself to the bare facts:

Kurt Triplett, the acting King County Executive since Ron SIms resigned on May 8, was just confirmed by the Council as the interim King County Executive. Triplett is the former chief of staff for Sims (for whom I used to work). He received the votes of six of the nine Councilmembers, including the votes of Dow and Larry Phillips, both of whom are running for King County Executive. Read more about it here and here.
