Feeling Festive?

By FilmNerd April 24, 2009

It's a weekend of film festivals.

If you're wondering what the next generation of filmmakers might bring to the screen, check out the National Film Festival for Talented Youth.

Feeling radical? The Grand Illusion Cinema is hosting the Social Justice Film Festival this weekend.

Didn't get your four questions answered at Passover? There's  Seattle Jewish Film Festival, with screenings at Cinerama and SIFF Cinema.

And  if you're not feeling festive, but just want to see a good movie: The weekend calendar at the Northwest Film Forum is, as usual, awesome.  At 5pm I'll be seeing Waiting for Sancho, about the making of Bird Song by great Spanish director Albert Serra, with Waiting for Sancho director Mark Peranson in attendance.  The film runs through the weekend, but Peranson will be there only today.
