Extra Fizz

I forgot to mention, another bill we were watching—a bill to help fund King County bus service—also passed yesterday.

Transportation Choices Coalition, who crusaded for the bill, has the dramatic report

King County Council Members Dow Constantine and Larry Phillips—who are both running for King County Executive—also crusaded for the bill.

Rep. Ross Hunter (D-48, Medina, Announcing Soon)

Ironically for Constantine and Phillips, another pro-transit crusader, Rep. Ross Hunter (D-48, Medina), was in on the critical negotiations that secured the Metro funding. Hunter is expected to announce that he's running for King County Executive in the next 48 hours.

Although, in the negative column, Hunter failed to secure a utility tax amendment he'd proposed to the bill to help fund social services in King County.
