Cantwell on CIA Interrogators: "No One Is Above the Law"
When he released the recent Justice Department torture memos, President Obama announced he would not prosecute the CIA interrogators involved, who acted under legal advice from the DOJ.
Some Democratic lawmakers criticized the announcement, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who asked the President not to declare which officials would be prosecuted until the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, which she chairs, finished their investigation of the CIA tactics.
Also among the critics of Obama's decision: Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA). This is what her office told PubliCola this morning:
