PubliCola Adds Life

By Josh Feit March 20, 2009

Take a sip.

MONDAY

Senator Maria Cantwell: Right all along on A.I.G.—as opposed to President Barack Obama.

PubliCola's big announcment: We've got a slightly new look, and we're running ads now.

The P-I announces  it's last-ever print edition will come out Tuesday.

It's TechNerd Monday with TechNerd, Glenn Fleishmann.

TUESDAY

"OMG!Obama" loves Jon Stewart, but wonders why the public had to rely on Stewart to take on A.I.G. Isn't the Bush era over?

Re: The State Labor Council email story. It's Democratic Rep. Mike Sells vs. the Democratic leadership

It's FoodNerd Tuesday with FoodNerd.

WEDNESDAY

To save her climate change bill, Gov. Gregoire testifies in the House.

I'm on KUOW's "The Conversation" to talk about the State Labor Council email story—and Democratic Rep. Mike Sells vs. the Democratic leadership.

THURSDAY

I file a dissertation on three bills that will define the legislative session in Olympia.

It's MusicNerd Thursday with MusicNerd.

It's "OMG!O"on Obama's Leno tour.

Democratic Sen. Craig Pridemore vs. The Democratic Leadership.

FRIDAY

I file another dissertation on Olympia, and I've got some questions for Speaker of the House Frank Chopp.

But mostly it's Friday (!) and the arts nerds take over

FilmNerd in particular is excited about SIFF Cinema's "Moisture Festival on Film," and seems to give  this Saturday's show, Wim Wenders' masterpiece, Der Himmel ueber Berlin, five stars!!!!! (That is, if FilmNerd could stoop to do something as gauche as rating movies with stars.)

FilmNerd writes:

The Sky over Berlin ... is about voids, memories, and the deep beauty of Western Europe’s ugliest capital. The film’s characters ... inhabit voids created by the destruction of war, and left by decades of bureaucratic neglect.

Speaking of destruction... Soon turned out I had a heart of glass...
