1. Ron Sims, picked by Obama for the No. 2 spot at HUD, is scheduled to have his confirmation hearing in front of the Senate on February 24. I hope he paid all his taxes. 

2. Maura Breuger , currently Sims' head of federal relations at the County, is reportedly going to work at HUD for Sims along with two other soon-to-be-named Sims picks. Another Sims staffer, Jim Lopez, deputy chief of staff, is reportedly going to DC for a job in the Commerce Dept.  

3. King County Council Member Bob Ferguson will run for King County Executive, we say.

4. State Rep. Dave Upthegrove (D-33, Burien) is apparently a neo-Marxist moonbat.
