Uh, whoa. Renee Erickson is opening a wine bar-slash-restaurant called Barnacle adjacent to Walrus and the Carpenter. According to her Facebook proclamation 

More details as I get them, though I hear this will be part of the current Dutch Bike Co. space (it's moving around the corner). But in addition to wines aplenty by the glass, she’s promising “housemade charcuterie, interesting seafood offerings, delicious tartines, rich cheeses, ice cold beer and old world cocktails.” 

Barnacle will seat 25 and could open late this summer in the Kolstrand building. Here’s the Facebook page if you want to track its progress. I sure as hell do.
