Fans of Bread and Circuses will no longer have to mark their calendars and wait for the popular food truck to make a stop in their neighborhood. Soon, there will be a singular, brick and mortar kitchen, in a solid location. Better yet, the kitchen is opening up in the Two Beers Brewing tasting room, the Woods, in the heart of SoDo.

November 14 is the grand opening of Bread and Circuses' new, permanent kitchen, which will serve food for at the recently expanded taproom, which includes a dining area. The new brick-and-mortar version will offer up a wider selection of its gastropub-style food than you'll find on the truck. Opening day will have a limited menu, but there will be such items as duck fat popcorn, a brussels sprout caesar, and the truck's classic circus burger. For dessert, try out the chocolate torte, which comes with espresso sauce, and tobacco caramel toffee. The kitchen also does a menu of dog-friendly dishes like chicken rice.

The November 14 grand opening happens in tandem with Two Beers marking its eighth anniversary. To celebrate, the taproom will feature more than 20 beers, including the rather potent Overhang Imperial Porter, cinnamon and clove–infused Overhang, rum barrel–aged Overhang, as well as some beverages that don’t have the word overhang in it: Fresh Hop IPA, Grey Skies Dark Pale Ale, and the new year-round beer, Wonderland Trail IPA. Speaking of which...

Other Two Beers Goings On

The brewery released the Wonderland Trail IPA on November 2, named after the 93-mile trek around Mt. Rainier. To commemorate the release, as well as honor the trail, which Two Beers Brewing founder Joel VandenBrink hiked in its entirety in 2012, the brewery is hosting some fundraising events for Washington’s National Park Fund to support the maintenance and upkeep of Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks:

November 12, Beveridge Place Pub, 7–10pm
A raffle will be held where proceeds will benefit the park fund, ticket prices are $5–$10.

November 19, The Woods Tasting Room, 5pm
There will be a raffle and an auction where you could win slabs of the brewery's old bar counter. Rainier National Park Deputy Superintendent Tracy Swartout will be there, so you can drink with a park ranger and make the inevitable Yogi Bear joke.
