Everyone has a story about when they were new in town and given restaurant recommendations.

(Everyone except me. As a Seattle native, I wasn't eating solid foods when I was new in town. As a restaurant critic I’m generally the one giving the recommendations.)

So I’m genuinely curious, here at the launch of the annual tourist festival known as summer in Seattle: Which restaurants were you told you had to visit when you first got here? Which lived up to the recommendation, and why?
