If the fleet of new food trucks didn't already signal it, here's a surefire sign spring has arrived: Maximus Minimus is back at it. The barbecue operation opens for the season on April 1.
In the past the porcine four wheeler has made Pine and Pike Streets its weekday lunchtime perch, but this year the truck is venturing further afield to 2121 Westlake Avenue. (A brick-and-mortar offshoot is reportedly opening in the area.)
Whether Westlake is just an opening day thing or a permanent noonhour outpost remains to be seen (messages to the company haven't been returned) but the Second and Pike location is apparently off the table.
