Monte Cristo Is Serving Breakfast Now

Naturally a lot of cheese is involved.

Monte Cristo, now available in the AM.

Normally news of an eatery launching breakfast wouldn't warrant its own post (all-day breakfast, maybe), but the fact that Monte Cristo is doing as much signals something larger.

Food trucks are traditionally a lunchtime—and sometimes late night—thing, but here we have one committing itself to a regular morning stint. This just may be a first for Seattle.

Starting March 1 and Fridays here on out, Monte Cristo will park at the pod on Second and Pike between 7:30 and 10am. The menu is small but hearty (and of course cheesy): cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy, cinnamon swirl french toast, a bacon-egg-three cheese sandwich, a sausage-egg-cheese biscuit. Rashers of bacon are available on the side.

There's also a croque monsieur if you're angling for something lunchier after all.
