Nosh Pit Top Food Tweets of the Week

Crow eating crow, salmon collar from a truck (maybe), and a tweet-based deal with the devil. These were our five favorite 140-character (or fewer) contributions this week.

Happy vegan.

It’s actually been two weeks since we did a round-up of the best food tweets, so we’ve taken advantage of our own inability to deliver a weekly series and allowed ourselves to include tweets posted over the last two weeks.

Lazy, meet easy.

Between then and now, we learned that Bill Clinton was a vegan. Frankly this information is causing us to examine our own flesh-filled diets. Cause like, if history’s most hedonistic American president can resist meat and dairy, surely we could fit in a salad now and again.

Anyway, here are our top food tweets of the week.

Clarke Kant creeps and delights with a report of what happens when you photograph cheese. And for that, he earned the number five slot this week.

Fourth place this week goes to local food-scene stalwart Kairu Yao—we love when she tweets about her mom.

Coming in at three: Dude! Why hasn’t anyone thought of this yet?

Number two might make you groan, but it’s kind of genius too.

Finally, the number one tweet this week comes to us by way of one of America’s most talented tweeters (oh, and he writes books once in a while too), Colson Whitehead.

That’s it for this week. Have a great weekend—and if you see have any weird thoughts about food, do share on Twitter. We’ll be reading.
