Eater reports the Highliner Tavern is getting a makeover courtesy pf the duo behind Wild Salmon Seafood Market. It’s also getting a new name: Highliner Pub and Grill at Fisherman’s Terminal.

The people behind Umi Sake House and Kushibar plan to open Momiji at 1522 12th Avenue in late September. The Japanese restaurant and bar is inspired by the culinary traditions of Kyoto.

On July 26, 13 restaurants will team up for Columbia City Chow Down, a tasting event for the Rainier Valley Food Bank. St. Dames, Full Tilt Ice Cream, and Verve are a few of the spots offering small bites with the purchase of a $75 passport. Purchase Columbia City Chow Down tickets here.

Molly Moon’s is opening a counter inside Chocolate Box at 108 Pine St. To celebrate the grand opening, kids can get a free scoop on Friday, July 1 from 3–5. Regular counter hours will be daily noon–11.

Hunger is celebrating its first birthday with a $35 tasting menu available throughout July, says Fremont Universe. The menu includes versions of the eatery’s most popular dishes plus wine and specialty drinks.

According to PhinneyWood and Fremont Universe, Bluebird ice cream has two new stores in the works: one on Fremont Avenue and one in Phinney Ridge at 7400 Greenwood Avenue North. Their new mobile ice cream cart is also making the rounds at Seattle-area festivals.

PhinneyWood also reports more desserts are in store for the neighborhood: A la Mode Pies plans on opening its first café at 5821 Phinney Ridge Avenue North in September.

Pop Kitchen + Bar is scheduled to open July 15 inside Experience Music Project for lunch, dinner, and post-Avatar drinks.

The second location of Redmond’s popular pub A Terrible Beauty is open in the Junction, says West Seattle Blog.
