A new Thai restaurant, Thai Thani, is taking over the former Subway space at the corner of Ballard Ave NW and Leary Ave NW and should open in early June, reports My Ballard.

Jason Stoneburner will assume the position of executive chef at Bastille upon Shannon Galusha’s departure.

Poquitos is serving a new late-night menu, which can be enjoyed on the heated and covered patio the restaurant unveiled last week.

Fremont Universe reports on, a service that delivers snacks, beer, wine, and tobacco products until 3am Thursday through Saturday. Ballard folk can get in on the goods, too.

Neighborhood resident Mike Arcuri has introduced Vibrant Chocolate, said My Greenlake. Arcuri specializes in vitamin- and nutrient-rich confections.

The Highliner Alehouse at the Fishmen’s Terminal is closed, reports Magnolia Voice. The Port of Seattle is seeking a new operator, said spokesperson Peter McGraw.

Local food bloggers team up for the Great American Bake Sale on Saturday, May 14 at the uptown Metropolitan Market from 9:30 to noon. Gluten and nut-free items will be available. All funds raised will benefit Share Our Strength.
