As part of its three-day Carnevale festival, downtown Italian restaurant Il Fornaio is hosting a Venetian mask-decorating contest for kids this Sunday, March 6 beginning at noon.
Free soda and pizza will be on offer.
There is also a special happy hour running March 6 through 8 from 3pm to 6:30pm. On that menu: $5 antipasti, pizza, and well drinks, $3 beers, and $4 red and white wines.
In other Carnevale news, Tidbit Bistro has a special menu through March 8—it’s $30 for three courses. A house pizza is followed up with a baked rigatoni dish and then there is a choice of desserts: scratch-made chocolate pudding or puff pastry strips traditional to Carnevale.
