The Miami food scribe broke out the blogging how-tos at a recent potluck.

Notice a lack of flash bulbs flickering around Seattle restaurants last Wednesday, November 11th? Here’s why: all of the foodie bloggers were snacking on bacon vodka brownies and sesame chicken wraps at the Seattle Food Blogger Steamy Potluck dinner honoring Jaden Hair of steamykitchen.com.

In town from Miami to promote her book The Steamy Kitchen, Hair and 50-plus local fans packed into retro-fly French pastry wine shop Bustle on Queen Anne.

Even more tantalizing than the chow: Hair’s advice on how to blow up in the blogosphere. “It’s amazing how quickly Jaden has made it big in the past two years,” said Amy Winner of seattlepalate.com. Diana Johnson of dianasaurdishes.com said that Jaden was a key ingredient in her decision to get serious about food blogging. “I wanted cheap recipes,” Johnson said, “and Jaden was always more than willing to encourage me.” Many others confessed their devotion to Jaden, who explained in a Q&A session how the blogging phenomenon is reciprocal. “I try to hit everyone who hits me. It’s a community.”

The event was hosted by food blogger Keren Brown, who of course writes a food blog: Frantic Foodie.
