Word comes via email that Madame K’s on Ballard Ave is closing. The pizzeria, which serves up a slice of brothelesque bawdiness with its pies, will turn out the lights October 28 of this year.

Per a release sent this afternoon: “Our lease is up again, and it finally feels like its time for Madame K’s to make its grand finale,” says [owner Kirsten] Burt. “We’ve had an ongoing turbulent relationship with our landlord—but a magical 12 years in Ballard—and we are sad but satisfied that this is the right time.”

Burt will dedicate her time to her second restaurant in Carnation, called Lazy K’s.
