Because popping bubbles in your pajamas doesn't have quite the same glam factor.

You might have forgotten some auld acquaintance but forgetting to make plans for New Year’s Eve isn’t an option. Whether you want a tamer night filled with music and food, a raucous party (even a space prom) to dance the night away, or something in-between, there's a perfect night for everyone. We'll keep this list updated as more events roll in.

NYE: Midnight Request Line

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza

El Corazon, 7:30pm | $25

The night features bands such as Zeke, Dwarves, Pike vs. the Automaton, Acid Teeth, R.I.P, Year of the Cobra, Detonator, Kadabra, Armed for Apocalypse, and Robots of the Ancient World. You can pick up on the type of music from the band names.

New Year’s Eve Concert, Countdown, and Party

Benaroya Hall, 9pm | $60–155
