Over the past few years, Watershed Festival has become arguably the hottest ticket of the summer. The country music festival brings some of the genre's biggest names to the Gorge Amphitheatre for a weekend of revelry. It's Sasquatch! with more cowboy boots and (somehow) less diversity. It's Paradiso, but with beer and whiskey instead of MDMA. Because word has gotten out about Watershed's party atmosphere, tickets now tend to sell out in a matter of minutes.
The 2017 edition of Watershed Festival takes place July 28–30. Today, Watershed announced its initial lineup, including the three disparate headliners: bro-country star Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker (for those who haven't paid attention, the dude from Hootie and the Blowfish is a country hitmaker now), and champion of the "authentic" country sect, Chris Stapleton. They join 14 other acts on the bill, and more will be revealed in the coming months.
Passes for Watershed Festival 2017 go on sale next Wednesday, February 15 at 10am at WatershedFest.com. General admission passes run $199 with a VIP option available for $650. Gorge camping is sold separately for $150–$1,500.
