Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Return on Fences' "Arrows"

The duo's collaboration with the former Seattle singer-songwriter is their first new track since The Heist.

Seattle singer-songwriter Fences (aka Christopher Mansfield) has always worn his tattered heart on his sleeve, delivering lyrics with an emotional weight so heavy that they sink like an anchor. While his solo work is impressive, he's probably best known for singing the refrain to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's "Otherside Remix."  Now his famous friends are returning the favor.

Today Fences unveiled the jittery lyric video for "Arrows," which features a verse by Macklemore and production by Ryan Lewis. It's the hip-hop duo's first new musical collaboration since the smashing success of The Heist (Mansfield co-wrote the album opener "10,000 Hours"). "Arrows" is the lead single from Fences' second LP Lesser Oceans, which arrives on October 14 (and is available for preorder now with an early download of "Arrows" included). Less than 24 hours after its release, the song has already broken into the iTunes top 10 alternative tracks chart (and should only keep climbing).
