Richard Sherman Shuts Down 49ers, Almost Breaks Twitter

The Seahawks are NFC champs, they're going to the Super Bowl to face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, and they beat their mortal enemies to get there—sure, sure, that's all great. But all anyone wants to talk about (at least on Twitter) is Richard Sherman and his verbal body slam of Niners wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Sherman's postgame interview lasted all of 10 seconds—just long enough for him to shout, "I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re going to get”—but that was more than enough to break the Internet. Of the thousands of tweets that clogged Twitter within minutes of the final gun, here are a few of our favorites.

'Sherman and Crabtree' sounds more like a scented candle chain in a mall than a controversial NFL rivalry

And it's only fair that we give the last word to the Best Cornerback in the NFL, who responded to Crabtree's own post-game trash talk thusly:
A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep.
