For 40 years the televised game show The Price Is Right has been reason enough to stay home sick from school (and one of three reasons to visit Los Angeles, the other two being burritos and In-N-Out Burger). Host Bob Barker was a hero among men, changing people's lives in a day as Rod Roddy issued a simple, hearty "Come on down!" He taught us the actual price of groceries, or a living room set; made us want to win a new boat even if we lived in Arizona. The Big Wheel was a physical challenge—hang your head in shame if you can't get it to go around once—and Plinko the elusive unicorn of gameplay.

And now, The Price Is Right is hitting the road to celebrate its 40th anniversary. We don't have a lot of details yet, other than the dates (late September), location (Snoqualmie Casino), and a few games (Cliffhanger, Plinko). A ticket gets you in the audience and a chance to come on down. We'll update as we learn more. In the meantime, watch Snoop Dogg/Lion demonstrate his mastery of Plinko.

The Price Is Right Live
Sept 27–29, Snoqualmie Casino, ticket on-sale date TBD
