First Thursday falls on Independence Day this week, which means several Seattle-area museums will be free and open late on your day off. And they're air conditioned. Here's what's going on around town:

Seattle Art Museum Downtown Open 10–9; includes free admission to the new Future Beauty exhibit of Japanese fashion. AC
Seattle Asian Art Museum Open 10–9; includes free admission to Legends, Tales, Poetry: Visual Narrative in Japanese Art.  AC
Olympic Sculpture Park Open 30 minutes prior to sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset.
Museum of History and Industry Open 10–5; includes free admission to Still Afloat: A Contemporary History of Seattle's Floating Homes and a 30-minute Lake Union Park history tour (12:30pm, meet at Model Boat Pond). AC
Museum of Flight Open 10–5; free admission 5–9 and entry to the NASA Space Shuttle Trainer.  AC
Nordic Heritage Museum
Open 10–4; free admission. AC ("as needed")
Pacific Science Center
Open 10–6; general admission $13–$18. AC
Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture
Closed July 4.
Frye Art Museum Closed July 4.
Henry Art Gallery Closed July 4.
Northwest African American Museum
Closed July 4.
Tacoma Art Museum
Closed July 4.
Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience Closed July 4.
