Madison Park Blogger was buzzing on Tuesday with news of a movie crew setting up at the intersection of 41st Avenue E and E. Newton Street—one of several Seattle locations for Lynn Shelton's latest film, Laggies.
When we first heard about the movie back in March, it was a dark comedy slated to star Anne Hathaway, Sam Rockwell, and Chloë Grace Moretz (aka Jack Donaghy's teenage nemesis on 30 Rock). But according to media insider sites, Hathaway had a scheduling conflict—Christopher Nolan’s new sci-fi film Interstellar—and had to bow out. Keira Knightley is now attached to Laggies, which iMDB says is about "a woman stuck in permanent adolescence [who] lies to her fiancé about going on a retreat and spends the time hanging out with friends instead."
Shelton and crew just wrapped week two of filming, according to the director's updates on Twitter, and it looks like they're taking advantage of the good weather to do a lot of exterior shots. Recognize any of the places in her photos? Follow the fun at @lynnsheltonfilm.
