Wild rocker (and one of our favorite Seattle expats) Father John Misty returns for two shows in January: opening for the Walkmen on the 27th (sold out) and headlining the Neptune on the 29th.

After being an artistic triumph for PNB in 2008, Roméo et Juliette returns to the McCaw Hall stage. February 1–10.

The Seattle Symphony takes its first ever crack at Messiaen's challenging Turangalîla Symphony when Morlot Conducts Messiaen at Benaroya Hall. January 31 & Feb 2.

Seattle grunge legends Soundgarden finally put out a new record in 2012 (King Animal) and return home to rock on February 7 & 8 at the Paramount Theatre.

From Mario to Mass Effect, video games have a history of being neglected as an art form. Explore the history of pixelated playable art when the Smithsonian's The Art of Video Games exhibition come to the EMP. February 15–May 12.
