Booze blog Sauced pointed readers to a new waterfront development that isn’tthe Ferris wheel: Copperworks Distilling, from a former brewer at Redhook, Pyramid, and Pike. The 6,900-square-foot gin and whiskey facility and tasting room will open this fall at the base of the Harbor Steps. And Wear What When reported a bunch of local trendsetters are putting out fashion and culture magazines. There’s Day Night, Ledger, and most recently Pacific Standard. Finally, Nosh Pit caused food geeks to freak when it broke the news that Top Chefis filming season 10 here and that the show’s producers were scouting Melrose Market. One assumes Pike Place is on the docket, too, with lots of shots of—what else?—the Ferris wheel.
