It’s a month of inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational mayhem at SIFF Cinema.

By Laura Dannen November 3, 2011

They haven’t aged a day.

Let it be known: November is now Muppet Month. Not only do we get the first new Muppet movie in over a decade (The Muppets, starring Jason Segal and Kermit, is out November 23), but SIFF Cinema at the Uptown is celebrating the best of Jim Henson for the next three weeks. Mahna mahna. Muppets, Music and Magic: Jim Henson’s Legacy runs November 5–22, and includes screenings of early-’80s classics The Muppets Take Manhattan and The Great Muppet Caper; quote-along screenings of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal; song montages from The Muppet Show; and behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Sesame Street. Tickets are $10 ($5 for members). Now, someone cue Animal.

Kermit and Miss Piggy finally tie the knot…on Broadway.

Labyrinth Quote Along
Mon Nov 21 @ 7pm, Tue Nov 22 @ 7pm

The Dark Crystal
Mon Nov 21 @ 9:30pm, Tue Nov 22 @ 9:30pm
Gelfling needs to find the missing crystal shard to defeat the Skeksis dragon creatures and save the world. I skipped this one as a kid.
