TONIGHT: Jeffrey Eugenides at Seattle Public Library

Hear excerpts from his new novel The Marriage Plot.

Jeff Eugenides, rocking the professorial turtleneck.

First came The Virgin Suicides in 1993. Then 2002’s Pulitzer Prize–winning Middlesex, whose intersex hero made Jeffrey Eugenides a household name. Now, nearly a decade later (yet seemingly right on schedule), the author releases his highly anticipated new novel, The Marriage Plot, about three Brown University students caught in a love triangle of Victorian proportions. Expect Eugenides, a Brown alum, to paint a realistic portrait of college drama—he’s been a creative writing professor at Princeton for the last four years.

Jeffrey Eugenides reads from The Marriage Plot tonight at Seattle Public Library (Central Branch) at 7. Admission is free, and no RSVP required.
