Is Carly Calbero your pick?

In case you missed it: Seattle Met has been hosting a Battle of the Buskers contest through June, and because there’s so much love for the Market’s curbside musicians, we’ve extended voting through July 8. Go to Battle of the Buskers and vote for your favorite, and you’ll also be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to Café Campagne.

Since the contest started, Carly Calbero—who does an impressive acoustic cover of MJ’s "Beat It"—has been chosen to compete in Rolling Stone’s Street to Stage contest. She’s one of eight buskers from across the country—and the sole NW rep—battling for the chance to sing professionally in the Rolling Stone Rock Room in Austin, Texas, during "one of the biggest music festivals in the nation." (Hm, might you mean SXSW, not-so-subtle RS editors?)

But how does she hold up against the rest of Seattle’s buskers? Does the Howlin’ Hobbit feel slighted? Time to weigh in.
