Win Tickets to Don Quixote in Seattle Opera’s Scavenger Hunt

Hope your luck’s better than Don Quixote’s.
If there was ever a slave to love, it was Cervantes’ Don Quixote—the poor old man of La Mancha who battled bandits and attacked windmills in the name of his fair Dulcinea. And in Jules Massenet’s opera Don Quixote, the romantic quests grow even more serious, as Don faces death to retrieve his ladylove’s stolen necklace.
Starting this Monday, February 7, you too can embark on a silly hunt to impress your sweetheart. In conjunction with their upcoming production of Don Quixote, Seattle Opera will hide necklaces around town and post clues on their blog, Facebook page and Twitter (@SeattleOpera). Whoever finds a necklace can turn it in at the SO box office in McCaw Hall in exchange for a pair of tickets to the March 9 show.
The first clue will be posted this coming Monday, and additional clues will follow until the first necklace is found. A second, third, and fourth necklace will be hidden the following Mondays, and the clues will start anew each week. All four winners will be entered into a drawing to win a romantic prize package sure to melt even the most hesitant of hearts. Winners, just keep your fingers crossed that your romantic gesture works out better than Quixote’s.
Don Quixote runs Feb 26-Mar 12, and is one of our 21 can’t-miss events of the spring season.
